About
52 Cards. One Goal. Beat the Clock.
Klondike is the world's most-played card game. Sort all 52 cards into four foundation piles — one per suit — in order from Ace to King. Use the tableau to build and rearrange sequences while you uncover hidden cards.
Drag single cards or entire stacks, double-click to auto-send cards to foundations, and hit Auto-Complete when the path to victory is clear. Your best time is saved between sessions.
Drag & Drop
Move single cards or whole stacks by dragging. Drop onto a valid tableau column or foundation pile.
Double-Click
Double-click any card to instantly move it to the foundation — no drag required.
Auto-Complete
When all hidden cards are revealed, click Auto-Complete to finish the game automatically.
Best Time
Your fastest completion time is saved in the browser. Try to beat your personal record.
How to Play
Three Steps to Win
Uncover the tableau
Move cards between columns to expose face-down cards. Cards stack in descending rank with alternating colors — red on black, black on red.
Build the foundations
Move Aces to the foundation area first, then stack 2, 3, 4... up to King on the matching suit pile.
Deal from the stock
Click the stock pile to deal a new card to the waste when you're stuck. Cycle through the stock as many times as needed.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I move a stack of cards at once?
Yes — drag from any face-up card in the tableau to move it and all cards below it as a single stack, as long as the stack follows alternating-color, descending-rank order.
What can I place on an empty column?
Only a King (or a stack topped by a King) can start a new empty column. This gives you a useful staging area for reorganising cards.
When does the Auto-Complete button appear?
It appears automatically when every card in the tableau is face-up — meaning all remaining moves are deterministic and you have already won strategically.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. Tap and drag to move cards on touchscreens. The layout adjusts to fit smaller screens.
