Minesweeper
Clear the board without hitting a mine. Numbers tell you everything — logic does the rest.
About
Classic Minesweeper — Logic Over Luck
Reveal cells one by one. Each number tells you how many mines are in the 8 surrounding cells. Use that information to flag mines and safely reveal everything else.
Your first click is always safe — the board is built around it. Zero-cells cascade automatically, so large empty areas open up in one click.
Click to Reveal
Left-click reveals a cell. Numbers show adjacent mine count. Blank cells cascade automatically.
Right-click to Flag
Mark suspected mines with a flag. Use Flag Mode button on touch screens.
First Click Safe
The board is generated after your first click — you can never lose on the opening move.
Best Time Saved
Your fastest clear per difficulty is stored in your browser between sessions.
How to Play

Open the board

Read the numbers
Each revealed number counts the mines in its 8 neighbors. Use logic to deduce which cells are safe.
Flag and reveal
Right-click to flag mines, then reveal the rest. Clear every non-mine cell to win.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What do the numbers mean?
A number shows exactly how many mines are hidden in the 8 cells surrounding it. Use this to deduce which cells are safe and which are mines.
How do I flag on mobile?
Tap the Flag Mode button — it turns red when active. While in flag mode, tapping a cell places or removes a flag instead of revealing it.
What happens when I hit a mine?
All mines are revealed and the board shakes. A 'Try Again' button lets you start a fresh game instantly.
Why did a large area open up?
Clicking a cell with zero adjacent mines triggers a cascade — all neighboring cells reveal automatically, spreading until numbered cells form a border.
